No More Heroes: Chapters 1-17

bamftastikSince I waited two months between updates, here's a recap:
The Warden and Loghain failed to stop the Blight. Both of them died in the attack on Denerim and, in the aftermath, the rest of the companions scattered. Leliana searched for wandering-drunk Alistair and found a flirty Anders. Zevran lamented his role in the Warden's death (he distracted her in the final moments by begging for her life, allowing the archdemon to come behind and swat her off the roof) and fell in with Nathaniel. Sten traveled with Morrigan, who was masquerading as the dog. (The real dog turned up later and was offended.) Wynne, Oghren and Shale remained with the survivors in Denerim, living in a series of tunnels beneath the outlying farms and forming a sort of resistance. Wynne has become an Arcane Warrior, hard on the outside to hide the sadness within. Oghren's leg was crushed beyond healing and his ale supply has finally run out; he spends much of his time sober and riding around on Shale's shoulder.
Alistair is discovered drinking himself to death in the ruins of Ostagar. Anora joins the resistance and tries to lead her broken people. There are hints of childhood feelings between her and Nathaniel. Cullen and the Templars arrive to reclaim the mages that marched with the Warden. The mysterious figure who has been rescuing survivors from the city is revealed to be Justice in Dead-Loghain's body. (aaawkward...)
Alistair does not react well to the idea of the dark ritual. Morrigan disappears and returns beat up, but with a vial of the archdemon's blood. Nathaniel and Oghren volunteer for the Joining; Anders is recruited to escape Cullen's Templars. Anders and Leliana arrive late to the ceremony, looking decidedly flushed and disheveled. When Morrigan seems to be propositioning the Wardens-to-be, Alistair goes off on her. She transforms into a pissed off griffon and flies away.
